Privacy Statement


By using the Site you consent to the collection, storage, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this policy.
What information do we collect?
We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:

  • information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering on the Site
  • information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our website services, email notifications and/or newsletters 
  • information that you provide to us for the purpose of taking part in a class

Using your personal information


Personal information submitted to us via the Site will be used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy or in relevant parts of the Site.
We may use your personal information to:

  • administer the Site
  • enable your use of the services available on the Site
  • send you email notifications which you have specifically requested
  • send you our newsletter and other marketing communications which we think may be of interest to you by email or your specifically requested preferred form of contact. (You can inform us at any time if you no longer require marketing communications)
  • address enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to the Site
  • to analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support and improve and develop our operations and the services we offer;
  • for all other purposes consistent with the proper performance of our operations and business; and
  • to contact you for your views on our services.

The information you provide to us will be treated as confidential. However, we may disclose your information to other third parties who act for us such as our employees, tutors, auditors and other approval bodies, or partners as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy or for purposes approved by you.
Unless required to do so by law, we will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.

A "cookie" is a small data text file that is placed in your browser and allows Cairngorms Learning Partnership to recognise you each time you visit this site. This allows us to do things like personalising webpages for you or keep you logged-in to a secure area of the site. Cookies themselves do not contain any personal information. Policy amendments


We may update this privacy policy by posting a new version on the Site. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes and any substantial changes will be highlighted on the Site.
We may also notify you of changes to our privacy policy by email.

Your rights

You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information:

  • may be subject to payment of a nominal fee
  • will be subject to your provision of evidence of your identity (for this purpose, we will accept a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address).

We may withhold such personal information to the extent permitted by law.

Course Bookings

Payment is required for all course bookings within 5 working days.
If bookings are made for courses supported by Skills Development Scotland ILA scheme, and an ILA account will be used to pay the course fees, whatever course you choose, make sure that you have applied for your individual learning account and that you have received your account card and account number before booking a course as you cannot use your ILA funds to pay for a course that you have already booked.   Bookings using an ILA account must be made prior to the course starting and the ILA token provided to the Centre to cover the fees.


Returns / Cancellation Policy

Return Policy


It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that they have enrolled on the correct course. 
Refunds will not be given if the purchaser enrols on and completes a course incorrectly.

Online courses:

If a purchaser realises they have enrolled on the wrong online course, but has not accessed the study material or the assessment, a refund may be possible if the purchaser contacts the respective learning centre within four (4) working days of the course being purchased.
Refunds will not be given if a purchaser has completed an online course assessment. This is because the purchaser will have already used the services which they have paid for.
If a purchaser decides to withdraw from a course after it has been purchased and accessed, they will not be given a refund, regardless of the time spent in the course or the materials accessed.
Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing or by email to the learning centre.
Refunds for payments made for an online course will only be refunded in the same form used to purchase the course.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made by no later than 5 working days prior to the commencement of the course.  An administrative charge of 10% will be made.  The balance will be refunded by cheque or BACS.
Refunds cannot be made for courses that have been booked using an ILA, and subsequently cancelled by the learner.   Every effort will be made by the Centre to reschedule your booking, however, no guarantees can be made.
Full refunds, or reinstatement of ILA credits, will be made by the Centre in the eventuality that a course is cancelled by the Centre.
